Training can be given in the following subjects:
- Learner Driver
- Pass Plus
- Motorway Training
- Advanced Driving
- Light Goods Van Training
Learner Driver Lessons
Can be done in sessions of 1hr; 1.5hrs or 2hrs
Duration costing £20 per hour
Discounts are given for students, block bookings of ten or
more or pupil referals
Gift vouchers are also available
Pass Plus
The Pass Plus course is a Government Backed Scheme which
allows the pupil to gain experience which would normally take
2 or 3 years to achieve.
Most inusrance companies give a discount to holders of the
Pass Plus certificate.
It is basically 6 modules covering :
- Town Driving
- Country Driving
- Night Driving
- Dual Carriageway / Motorway Driving
- Bad Weather Driving
The cost of each 1.5hr module is £30 or £150
for the whole course paid in advance
These can be done in pupil's car or instructors.
Motorway Training
This includes all aspects of motorway driving and costs £21
per hour
Advanced Training
As a Police Class I Advanced driver, I am properly qualified
to give advanced driving tuition. Most instructors who offer
this training hold an I.A.M or R.O.S.P.A Certificate. The
standard required to pass this test is much less than required
for the police advanced driving test. Advanced lessons are
1.5hr duration and cost £35.
A block of ten would cost £300. The course would usually
begin with a 1hr assessment costing £20, redeemable
with the first lesson/lessons booked.
Light Goods Van Training
Although goods vehicles up to the gross weight of 3,500kgs
can be driven on an ordinary driving licence, driving light
vehicles demand different skills than those required to drive
a car.
The training is normally done in the pupils vehicle.
